Acrobatic Network

A place for acrobatic athletes, coaches and club owners to meet.

Does anyone out there know a contact for me to purchase our own
personal press stands. My daughter is working on her press hand stand and other skills as well.

I thought there used to be a link on the txacro.org web site but I don't see it there any longer?

Please advise... thanks...

The videos on You Tube that George linked to, I have embedded in this site for easier viewing. Please note that this link "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5" is broken. Like wise the first Home Depot is not available. But the 2nd Home Depot link still is so I am hyperlinking this one for ease of use, too.

been doing some research on this.

Here is on type of blocks that would be easier to build than the typical

2x4 style I had not seen before this search

Typical style seen most often

Here is my friend Hilkie from Belgium on another type. I think the uprights might be pipe.

Pipe style use galvanized floor flanges.

http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10051&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&productId=100178435&marketID=16&locStoreNum=6840&categoryID=528082

They woodscrew to the wood base that is like 1.5-2.5 foot square??, upright steel or galvanized pipe screws into this and another base flange is screwed to the top and hand hold is woodscrewed to this. Hince this is why on some of these videos the hand hold looks so big. Has to be big to cover flange. Smaller hand holds on pipe probably have a large whole drolled part way thru the hand hold wood. It is then slipped over the pipe end with a pin perpindicular thru hand hold and pipe to keep it locked on?

Here is a flange I have not seen before. Found it on Home Depot website. Looks like it might make a good item to make blocks with. Sorta spendy though at nearly 10bukcs each

Victoria I know how to make some real uggly ones.

I did have the link stored. Unfortunately I just lost all the AcroUpdate material I had archived just for situations like this. The webmaster shut it down for too little traffic.
