Event Description

Dear Texas Coaches:

Welcome to the Texas TeamGym competitive meet season. At the January 2010 meet we will have a short coaches clinic after the meet to discuss the new rules and to critique the gymnasts at the meet. I hope many of you have been working and thinking about your TeamGymn Floor and Jump routines and are excited to join us in this sports section of USAG Group Gymnastics. Please note the following items to check off on your list in order to compete.
1. Check for the "new" TeamGymn regulations from the USAG website
2. Matching Uniforms (Female Leotards/Trunks or Male Leotards/shorts) with hair slicked back
3. MARK your calendars - “Date of 1st meet”: Saturday, January 30, 2010 – Level 3-7
4. Time: 1:00pm - Warm-up
5. Meet Time: Approximately 2:00-3:30pm with awards at 3:30pm
6. Place: Biron Gymnastics

7. Entry fees per gymnasts: $35.00
8. Each gymnast will receive a trophy
9. Athlete requirements: USAG number
10. Coaches requirement: One coach on the floor must have a USAG Pro # and Safety #
11. Coaches: Look at your rules - two coaches on spotting for vault and mini-tramp
12. Concession stand will be available
13. All coaches wanting to watch the TeamGym meet may enter free
14. No flash cameras
15. Random draw for competition order
16. CD and cassette equipment available
17. Deadline for entry fees and form: January 15, 2009
18. Mail all information, forms, and entry checks payable to the "Starlette Booster Club" sent to Jodie Trncak
19. Equipment: AAI Vaulting Table; AAI Spring Boards; 42'x42' floor; 60' long tumbling strip (for Level 7 & 8); Nissen Mini- Tramp and Euro-style Mini-tramp; Landing Mats
